MySQL RDBMS.

PrintFaqtory supports all versions of MySQL. MySQL is included on the PrintFaqtory CD.

MySQL is the recommended RDBMS for PrintFaqtory as it is, in this type of application, several orders of magnitude faster then either SQL Server or Oracle and only uses a small fraction of the system resources of the other RDBMSs. Best of all it’s 100% stable, scales extremely well, completely cross platform, open source and free.

Before PrintFaqtory can use the MySQL database, MyODBC must be installed first.

Many administration tools (all free) are available for MySQL. We recommend MySQLFront (included on the PrintFaqtory CD).
