Oracle 8/9i RDBMS.

PrintFaqtory supports Oracle 8i/9i or better RDBMS.

In order to use Oracle as the back end database for PrintFaqtory, a user ‘PRINTFAQTORY’ needs to be configured with the ‘CONNECT’ and ‘RESOURCE’ roles set (see below).

Note, if you have no particular preferences for which database to use, we highly recommend using MySQL.

Personal Oracle can be downloaded for free (approx. 1GB) from the Oracle web site (requires registration).

Unless you have a good reason to do otherwise, it is highly recommended to use the ‘SYSTEM’ tablespace for all data, as above.
