DNS Service for dial-up internet accounts. Unique to WEB-FAQtory, no dedicated IP addressees are required for any of the WEB-FAQtory suite of applications. Servers, Clients & Monitors can all use inexpensive dial-up internet accounts.
No Hardware Locks (dongles). WEB-FAQtory licensing is based on the Server with a software key. Unlimited PCs can run the WEB-FAQtory Client application.

Unique WEB-FAQtory TCP/IP based network protocol means bandwidth requirements are several hundred times less than our competitors. All SCADA applications run fine on a LAN but perform poorly in the bandwidth restricted world of the Internet. WEB-FAQtory is the only product of its type that was designed from the ground up for absolute minimum bandwidth requirements. Only the data is transmitted from the Client to the Server/Monitors. No headers, addressing etc, only the displayed data. Approx. 3-7 bytes per second of bandwidth is required for numeric data saved every second. A hundred similar events would still be less than 1K per second. Place several Clients, reliably, behind a single dial-up Internet connection.

WEB-FAQtory is designed for the Internet, so it has 100% Network fault-tolerance built in. If the Modem drops, the router crashes or whatever, the client will buffer all data until the Net is back up again. Network failures are predominantly displayed at all ends with e-mail alerts. No need for a permanent connection. If real-time data display/reporting is not required, daily/weekly dial-up connections are fine. As WEB-FAQtory is an Internet application, full security is incorporated to ensure only authorized users can access your data.

Keep it simple. WEB-FAQtory is simplicity its self for installation and operation. Internal monitoring of all components for 24 hour, 365 day operation. Smallest possible database size means less likelihood of running out of disk space. Unique average data save option dramatically reduces database size for numeric data.

Access and Excel. Not just an afterthought but full and complete integration into WEB-FAQtory. Comprehensive Database/Worksheet with links to all tables/views and every conceivable predefined query for all custom analysis/reporting needs. Capturing and storing the data is WEB-FAQtory’s job.
